Springs ‘Lava’, as it is known locally, has two main attractions-
a quartet of natural mineral soaking pools ranging in temperature
from 104 to 112 degrees Fahrenheit and an Olympic swimming complex
with water slides. In summer, visitors can cool off on an inner tube
ride down the Portneuf River.

Dinosaur fans and geology buffs will enjoy a visit to this
museum on the Idaho State University campus. Exhibits explain the
"volcano smorgasbord" of the Snake River Plain, a region
known for intense geologic activity. Fossil highlights include a
group of bones from the Hagerman, Idaho, prehistoric horse quarries
and from a giant extinct bison that stood more than 7 feet tall
at its shoulder. There's also a hands-on Discovery Room for kids,
and Star Station One has exhibits detailing the construction and
work of the International Space Station.
Pocatello Zoo:
At this zoo, you can view all the native species of birds and animals
of the Rocky Mountains in a unique, natural setting.
Bannock County Historical Museum and Fort
Wall:
Sited together in Ross Park next to the zoo, they give an insight
into the early settlers of our community.

A water slide, lazy river, and kiddie pool with aqua gym provide
water fun for all ages. |
